Amy is a postdoc and on the faculty at Rice University's Department of Linguistics. Her research concerns non-verbal dimensions of deceptive communication, also development of language abilities in hearing-impaired children.

She is collaborating with the McNeill Lab on the NSF funded project, Interactive Deception and its Detection through Multimodal Analysis of Interviewer-Interviewee Dynamics.
